A 4-hour ceremony held in your home or at my home and medicine garden — to close, seal, and honor the body's profound passage through birth.
Birth opens a woman in ways that go beyond the physical. It cracks her open — body, heart, and spirit — and asks her to pour everything she has into bringing new life earthside. The Closing of the Bones ceremony honors that offering.
It is an ancient, indigenous practice rooted in the wisdom of traditional midwives across Mexico and Latin America — a ritual of sealing, closing, and deep acknowledgment that says: you did something profound, and your body deserves to be held.
This ceremony is not only for those who have given birth. It is for any woman who has experienced a significant opening of the womb — miscarriage, abortion, sexual trauma, or any loss or transition that has left her feeling unraveled, unwitnessed, or unclosed. This ceremony creates space to honor it all.
In this 4-hour ceremony held in your home, we create a sacred container for you to rest, receive, and integrate your experience. Whether your journey has been transcendent, traumatic, or somewhere in between — this ceremony meets you exactly where you are.
The room is prepared with care — candles, herbs, and clear intention setting. The body of work begins before you arrive.
A custom herbal yoni steam and tea blend, formulated for your healing — softening tissues, easing inflammation, and inviting the body to release. As you steam, space is held for your birth story to be told, honored, and witnessed — however it unfolded. No part of it is too much, too small, or too late.
A warm, custom herbal bath drawn just for you — a slow soak in plant medicine that cleanses, softens, and prepares the body for the wrapping that follows.
A full-body wrapping from head to toe using traditional rebozo techniques — gently closing seven points of the body and gathering what birth opened.
Ideally offered between 4–8 weeks postpartum, though this ceremony can be received any time in the first year after birth — or beyond.
If you've been carrying something that you've never had the space to lay down, this work is for you.

It is one of my deepest honors to hold women in this ceremony. To witness them. To close what has been opened, and send them forward feeling sealed, seen, and celebrated.— Kelli Marie Frances · FernBella Botanicals
